Azerbaijan Is Israel’s New Friend in the Muslim World – The Wall Street Journal

Azerbaijan and Armenia on Thursday struck a deal to end a nearly 40-year conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, a mountainous region in the South Caucasus. The agreement gives pro-Western Azerbaijan strategic footing to weaken Iran’s threat to the region and beyond. With the peace treaty finalized, Baku now has the capacity to shift its focus to Tehran. It has found a friend in Jerusalem.
