Robert Clark is a Fellow at Yorktown Institute and the Director of the Defence and Security Unit at Civitas, a London-based civil affairs think-tank. Robert has authored reports regarding Arctic and European security affairs; UK defence policy; Iranian threats to the US and to the UK across the Middle East; and the role of China in the UK’s civil society. Robert has published for the NATO Defence College, as well as having peer-reviewed papers published in leading security and military journals regarding British defence strategy and China’s securitization of the Uyghurs. Robert has served in the British military for 16 years, ranging from intelligence and language roles to infantry deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Robert has an MA in International Conflict Studies from King’s College London.
